Nanasha Shrine

Nobody knows the history of this shrine since all records were burnt down in big fire in 1793.
Original shrine was in Kyu Furukawa Garden and transferred to the current place at the beginning of Meiji era.

Torii gate is located right next to Nishigahara Ichirizuka (Mile Stone).

Nishigahara Ichirizuka (Mile Stone)

In Edo era, there're mile stones every 4 Km from Nihombashi on main roads.
There're only two mile stones left in Tokyo.

One is Shimura Ichirizuka and another one is Nishigahara Ichirizuka.

Since roads were expanded, one side of the mile stone is in the center of the road now.
