Zenkoji Temple

Zenkoji Temple in Nagano prefecture is the head temple of Zenkoji Temple.
This one in Omote Sando is one of 200 Zenkoji Temples in Japan.

Ieyasu Tokugawa, the first Shogun of Edo government built one in Yanaka in 1601.
After it burnt down on fire, it's moved to current location.

TOD'S Omote Sando Building

This building in Omote Sando is a shop of an Italian brand.
Glass walls are surrounded by white concrete wall with shape like nets.

There's a big tree in front of the building, which obstruct the full view of the building.
It may be OK since concept of the building seems to be wrapped by the tree branches.

Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum

This museum used to be Taro Okamoto's house and atelier.
Taro Okamoto became popular when he made "Tower of the Sun" for EXPO '70 in Osaka.

His unique expression is outstanding and it's easy to identify his works because of its uniqueness. In the museum, his works are put on everywhere as if he is still there.

You can see his huge and energetic art objects in many places.
For example, you can see huge painting "Myth of Tomorrow" in Shibuya station.

Nezu Museum Garden

Nezu Museum is surrounded by Japanese garden.
There are several houses for tea ceremony in the garden.

This hilly garden has many interesting stone objects beside the paths.
There's an extensive pond, too.

It's worth spending time in the garden as well as the museum itself.

Nezu Museum

You'll feel that you are really getting into Japanese museum when you are approaching from the front gate. This beautiful hall way is surrounded by bamboo.

When you get into museum lobby, you'll see beautiful foliage through glass window.

This museum is established by Kaichiro Nezu I in 1941.
He's called "Railroad King".

Collections are Japanese and East Asian arts ranging from painting and calligraphy to sculpture, ceramics, lacquer ware, textiles and archaeological materials.

They have more than 7400 items including 7 National Treasures, 87 important Cultural Properties and 94 Important Art Objects.
