Shinagawa Shrine - Shinagawa Fuji

Shinagawa Shrine has Sengen Shrine in the area.
Sengen Shrine has a miniature Mount Fuji.

There're many Sengen Shrines with miniature Mt. Fuji everywhere.
This Shinagawa Fuji is one of the highest Mt. Fuji in Tokyo.

There's a by-pass to get to the foot of Shinagawa Fuji in the middle of front stairs.

Shinagawa Shrine

Shinagawa Shrine started in 12th century to defy the god for safety on the ocean.

Torii gate upfront has unique decoration of two dragons.
Only three shrines have this kind of Torii gate in Tokyo.
(Tokyo has more than 1400 shrines.)

There's Ana Inari Shrine with many little red Torii gates beside the main hall.
It has a upper shrine and a lower shrine.

Mikoshi (Portable shrine) parade goes up and down on steep stairs upfront.

Ebara Shrine

Ebara Shrine started in 709 to defy a Dragon God.
Many Samurai families supported this shrine.

Current main hall building is relatively new.
It's built in 1844.

Many shrines have a parade with portable shrines in summer festival.
This shrine is the only shrine which parade goes into the sea in Tokyo.

Gangyoji Temple

Gangyoji Temple has a unique Jizo.
Jizo is the guardian deity of children.

It's tied with a rope.
It means Jizo accepts troubles of your life for you.

Also, you can take Jizo's head to make a wish,
You are supposed to return two heads when your wish becomes true.
That's the reason why there're are a lot of heads around Jizo.
