Bunkamura

Bunkamura is a commercial complex focused on art and culture in Shibuya.
"Bunka" means culture and "Mura" means village.

It has theaters and museums as well as restaurants and shops.
Orchard Hall is a hall for Opera or Ballet, Theater Cocoon is a theater for various stage plays, Le Cinema is a movie theater and The Museum is a museum for special art exhibitions. It has galleries for small exhibitions, too.

Kabukiza Gallery

Kabukiza Theater is only one theater exclusive just for Kabuki Play.
This theater was rebuilt in 2014 to have high rise building behind the traditional theater building.

This theater has a little garden on top of the roof of theater.
Kabukiza Gallery on the 5th floor is museum to feel Kabuki.

Exhibitions include stage set, stage properties, costumes and motion pictures.
You can ride on a horse, row a boat, bear a palanquin, step on the stage and play Japanese traditional instruments.

There's a photo studio on the same floor where you can take pictures in real Kabuki costume.

National Film Center

National Film Center is an annex of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo.

Movies from plenty storage of old movie films are screened in the theater here for reasonable price.

They have a museum on the 7th floor.
You can see the history of movie projectors and history of movies.

Not only posters and scenarios but also motion pictures are exhibited.
