Kishimojin Temple

Main hall of Kishimojin Temple was built in mid 17th century.
Kishimojin means mother goblin's god.

This is based on the story that mother goblin eats human's kids.

One day, Buddha hid goblin's kid to let mother goblin know how human mothers feel when they lost their children. Mother goblin cried and apologized, then she became a god to protect kids.

There is a giant ginkgo tree which is the second largest ginkgo tree in Tokyo.
The trunk circumference is 6.63 m, the height is 32.5 m and the branches reach out 10 m in all directions.
