Gate of Samurai Residence

There's a gate of samurai residence remains in the parking lot of condominiums.
It's funny to see cars parking in front of old style gate.

Only gate building remains, so there's nothing to see but this gate.
The gate is just standing there.

Okamoto Hachiman Shrine

When you get out through the gate of Okamoto Folk House Park, it's right at the Torii gate of Okamoto Hachiman Shrine.

There's a very steep stairway to the shrine.

Shrine itself is small and seems to be old, but no records are found to show how old it is.

Tamagawa Daishi Temple

Tamagawa Daishi Temple was opened in 1925, so this temple doesn't have a long history.
But this temple is famous for a long underground path at the bottom of main hall.

This underground path was completed in 1934.
It has more than 300 Buddha statues and pictures including 88 temples pilgrimage in Shikoku and 33 temples pilgrimage in Saigoku (Western countries) so that you can make a shortcut to visit many temples.

This path is about 100 meters long and go around like a maze.
When you go down to the stairs, you cannot see anything since it's so dark.
After walking by putting both hands on the walls in total darkness for a while, you'll see many Buddha statues in the path.

There's another dark spot in the middle.
You may hear sound of bells which other visitors ring.
