Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is a huge park in the center of Shinjuku City.
This park has variety of gardens such as British Garden, French Garden and Japanese Garden.
There are several ponds, lawns and forests.

Shinjuku area used to be owned by feudal load Naito family and was developed as the first posting town from Edo on Koshu Kaido highway. It's one of the 4 first posting towns from Edo which grew as an entertaining districts.

4 towns had inns, shops and whorehouses.
