Tokyo International Forum - Upper Deck

You'll find several bridges if you look up in the Tokyo International Forum.
The highest you can go is the 7th floor. There's a Chinese restaurant on the 7th floor.

You can take the elevator or take a slope starting from the other side of Yurakucho station.
You'll find more bridges to go to halls in another building on the other side of the atrium.

Night view is beautiful, too.

Tokyo International Forum

This huge glass wall building is right next to JR Yurakucho station.
Tokyo International Forum is a convention center with many halls.

You have to go down to B1 floor when you get into this vessel shape glass building.
Access to halls, museum, restaurants starts from B1 floor.

There's a statue of Dokan Ota who built Edo castle in 15th century.

There used to be Tokyo Metropolitan Offices here until they moved to Shinjuku in 1991.

Ginza SF Building

Ginza SF building is located at the corner of Namiki Street and Sakura Street.
It's an office building covered with glass walls and top of the building is a dome.
It has an atrium in the dome.

Asahi Inari Shrine - Main Shrine on the Rooftop

Surprisingly, Asahi Shrine on the ground is just an easy access shrine for prayers.
The main shrine is on the rooftop of this building.

You should take the elevator to get to the 8th floor and climb stairs outside of the door.

A pipe line filled with soil is connected to the shrine on the ground.
Also a microphone catches prayers voice and sound to transmit to the main shrine through a loudspeaker.

Asahi Inari Shrine

The origin of this shrine is not sure.
But this shrine was destroyed by Great Ansei Earthquake in 1855.

The object of worship disappeared in the ground under a moat.

It was discovered after a Big Tsunami in Taisho era but it should be moved due to Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923.

Finally it's settled at current place after World War II.

It's located at the corner of the building on the back side of Matsuya Department Store.

MIKIMOTO Ginza 2

MIKIMOTO Ginza 2 is a high grade jewelry store.
This building is covered by white walls with indeterminate forms windows.
They seem to be holes rather than windows.

Architect who designed this building designed TOD'S Omote Sando Building just before this building.

Hulic Ginza Sukiyabashi Building

This building is an office building with Mizuho Bank and GAP stores in Sukiyabashi area in Ginza.
Front wall has waved aluminum casts.
It's the image of water and willows which are symbols of Sukiyabashi.

Dior building and Giorgio Armani building on the other side of Harumi street are impressive, too.
Giorgio Armani seems to have bamboo forest on walls.

PIAS Ginza Building

This building is twisted 85 degrees.
It's hard to see how many stories high from the appearance.

This 13 stories building is office building for PIAS group who manufactures and sells cosmetics.

Ginza Place

Ginza Place is a commercial complex which was grand opened in September 2016.
Motif is fretwork.

This is located at the corner of one of the most famous cross sections in Japan, Ginza Yonchome.

Nissan and Sony have their showrooms here.
There're restaurants and cafes.

Shizuoka News Paper and Broadcast Building

Tokyo Branch of Shizuoka News Paper and Broadcast has very unique appearance building.
There's a round center pillar and rooms are attached to the pillar.

This building was designed by Kenzo Tange, a famous architect.

Mitadai Park

Mitadai Park with classical wall has Isarako Shell Mound in its area.
An ancient house was restored and cross section of shell mound is displayed here.

This park also has a biotope, and it's open only on Sundays in March through November.
