Kyu Shiba Rikyu Gardens

This gardens were a house of one of Shogun's councilor and transferred several times to be owned by imperial family at last. Now it's one of 9 Tokyo Metropolitan Gardens.

There's a big pond in the center and there're several islands.

This compact gardens have a stone garden and a house for Japanese archery.

It has a few trees with autumn leaves but also has cherry blossoms which bloom in autumn.
So you can see autumn leaves and cherry blossoms at the same time here.

A Japanese old saying says "Smoke and fools like higher place."
I am one of them as a FAA private pilot.

When you visit a new town, going to the highest place is the easiest way to feel the map of the town. It'll help you to enjoy sightseeing after then.

Let me start with Seaside Top Observatory of World Trade Center Building in Hamamatsucho.

The atmosphere is like a hotel lobby.
This is the best place to see Tokyo Tower and Zojoji Temple.Tokyo Skytree may be too far.
Also, Kyu Shiba Rikyu Gardens/Hama Rikyu Gardens are the neighbor and Tokyo bay is close.
You can see the submit of Mt. Fuji when the sky is clear.
