Yanaka Graveyard

Yanaka Graveyard has beautiful cherry blossoms.
Main street has row of cherry trees to make a big tunnel.
Also, there's a narrow alley with a small tunnel of cherry blossoms.

Yes, there're more beautiful cherry blossoms in graveyards just like Somei graveyard.
Because of dead bodies ?

Shakujii River

Shakujii River has gorgeous row of riverside cherry blossom trees.
Shakujii River runs through Nerima city, Itabashi city and Kita city, it's long riverside road with cherry blossoms.

Meguro river becomes very popular in Tokyo but it seems to have too many people.
To enjoy the view of cherry blossoms, Shakujii river is a good place to walk along.

Sendaiborigawa Park

Sendaiborigawa park is a long long park. It's about 3.7 km long.
This area is lowland and suffered flood in the past.
This park was built to avoid flood by covering Sendaibori river.

There are cherry blossoms along with this long park.
Canal water is controlled to make space for parties under the trees.

Kandagawa River

Kandagawa River starts from Inogashira pond in Inogashira Park and joins into Sumida River at the Ryogoku bridge. This means this river go through the center of Tokyo city.

Middle part of this river (from Waseda to Iidabashi) may be called Edogawa River.

There're many cherry blossoms on the both side of the river.

Someiyoshino Memorial Park

There's a memorial park to show the original place of Someiyoshino in front of Komagome station.

Someiyoshino was born in this area by mating of Edohiganzakura and Oshimazakura.
Both species are here together with Someiyoshino so that you can compare the differences.

All Someiyoshino are clones of original one since this species can be increased only by grafting.

Somei Graveyard

Somei Graveyard is known as the birth place of Someiyoshino which is the most popular kind of cherry blossoms.

There's a theory that dead bodies are buried under the beautiful cherry blossoms.

This may be true when you see cherry blossoms here (in graveyard).
Volume of flowers seems to be bigger than regular cherry blossoms.

Chidorigafuchi is one of moats of Imperial Palace.
It's famous for cherry blossoms.

Metropolitan high way goes across Chidorigafuchi.

It's nice to ride on a rowing boat in the season.

Yaesu Sakura Street

In spring, Japan has special weeks with Sakura - Cherry blossoms.
Flowers last only a week or so.

We'll see many cherry blossoms everywhere in Tokyo.
Yaesu Sakura Street is in a business district near Tokyo station.

There're many offices and restaurants around this street.
It looks different in this season.
