Hatonomori Hachiman Shrine

Hatonomori Hachiman Shrine started here in 860.
Lucky clouds often appeared on this forest.

One day, white clouds came down to the forest from the blue sky and people went into the forest. Then many white pigeons flew away to the west.

This is the reason why this shrine is called Hatonomori.
Hato means pigeons and Mori means forest.
